If the box named 'your email address' is yellow and you can't see what you are typing it is because you have a toolbar with an auto-fill function. Either type your email carefully and hope for the best or use your mouse to navigate to the line of symbols that is just underneath the address bar and just above where this page starts. You will see a button that says 'options'. Click this button and look down- you will see a box next to the word 'autofill' that you have currently got ticked. Click in this box so the tick disappears. This should make the yellow box turn black.
